If you became ill or had an emotional feeling, it meant that one or more of those spirits had left your body. Hence, the Spirit Lock is used to help lure and capture the spirit(s) back into your body for the recovery of your “health”. They are worn by children, women and men for all of their lives.
Their shapes somehow express their meanings with large patterned areas and delicate swirls above. Traditionally worn on your back, this unique piece is beautiful worn as a pendant, whether in front or back. These are among my favorite of all objects, and when I am feeling a little ill at ease, or lacking in direction or motivation, I wear a Spirit Lock myself and somehow feel aided and protected.
