Suddenly, you could own a really fine creedite without selling your house to get it. Then, a couple of months back, we heard that the mining was FINISHED, apparently for good. So if you do not have one, well, here is another chance. We were lucky enough to put some aside before the mining stopped. This is a LARGE double-ball that actually sits flat on two bits of matrix underneath. They balls are covered with large, gemmy orange creedite crystals. Creedite is a rather rare sulfate found as an accessory to highly oxidized ore bodies. It can be confused with cobalt-rich adamite when its color is purple. It lacks adamite's luster, though, and adamite's dome termination is not slanted, as creedite's is." Location: Mina Navidad, Durango, Mexico
