"Honey-yellow transparent to translucent calcite crystals averaging 0.6 cm line the “bridge” and completely fill the interior of this specimen. No damage. The calcite crystals in this fossilized clam shell-Mercenaria Permagna-Pleistocene grew in the natural pockets formed by buried fossil clamshells. Not many fine collector specimens come from Florida, of course."
