"Nice undamaged specimen consisting of honey-yellow calcite crystals filling the interior of a Mercenaria clam. Crystal sizes range from 0.3 to over 1.0 cm. The calcite crystals in this fossilized clam shell-Mercenaria Permagna-Pleistocene grew in the natural pockets formed by buried fossil clamshells.
